Our Raw Denim Jeans are made with United States grown and milled denim on White Oak selvedge draper looms. The cotton is grown within 500 miles of the mill, including on a 5 acre plot directly in front of the facility. The goal is to keep everything under one roof: growing, processing, weaving, cutting, sewing, etc. Often, these processes take place not only in different factories, but even on different continents.
The mill uses solely BASF's e3 certified cotton. The certification requires independent auditors to monitor all steps of the supply chain from planting to delivery. It insures soil conservancy, energy efficiency, water usage, pesticide usage, and worker safety are improved year after year.
Our denim uses natural indigo dye which is applied using a foam process. This application method reduces water and energy consumption and relinquishes the need for sulfur.
By using a zero-discharge water filtration system, the mill not only conserves water but it also operates using 50% renewable energy.
